Hi all. I'm curious how professionals here evaluate ndt equipment before making a purchase. There are so many technical parameters, standards, and manufacturer claims that it's easy to get lost. Reviews are useful, but sometimes they're too generic. Do you focus more on specs, brand reputation, or recommendations from colleagues? I'd like to hear how others balance all this information.

I usually start by defining the inspection methods we actually use, then compare ndt equipment within that narrow scope. Looking through structured catalogues such as ndt equipment helps because everything is categorized clearly, which makes comparison easier. After that, I talk to colleagues who've used similar tools in real conditions. That combination usually leads to a more confident decision
